About the FCSA

Founded in 2007, the FCSA (Freelancer and Contractor Services Association) is the UK’s leading professional body dedicated to ensuring the supply chain of temporary workers is compliant and ethical. There is a lot of government legislation that contractor accountants and umbrella companies must abide by. The FCSA ensures that its members are truly compliant and operate lawfully and entirely in their clients best interests.

FCSA membership

Obtaining FCSA membership (accreditation) requires a lot of dedication and hard work because there are many processes involved. However, as the UK’s leading professional body dedicated to ensuring the supply chain of temporary workers is compliant and ethical – Bluebird Accountancy has always been dedicated to achieving FCSA membership.

To achieve the accreditation, contractor accountants and payroll providers have all of their internal processes thoroughly investigated by independent professionals that make a series of assessments and then report back to the FCSA. Ultimately, no stone is left unturned, and everything is thoroughly investigated.

Having undergone a series of audits and assessments last year (2020), Bluebird Accountancy was awarded FCSA membership because we were able to prove that we operate compliantly and in the best interests of our clients. However, once you’ve achieved the prestigious accreditation – the assessments don’t stop there.

Every year, the FCSA conducts an annual compliance audit where accredited members are thoroughly reviewed to ensure they are continuing to operate in accordance with both UK tax law and the FCSA’s Codes of Compliance.
